Had a nice 2 days at the end of last week catching up with the Slater and Gordon Lawyers Queensland team in Caloundra.

Also finally got to meet some members of the National Work and Road practice from NSW and Victoria who I had only seen virtually before hand.

Safe to say it was a great 2 days of laughs, catch ups, networking and learning.

I am proud to be part of such a great team who continue to work hard for its clients, are thought leaders and all do it with a smile on their faces.

Sad that this was the only photo I took, but I seemed to be too busy to take any others. Although it does show off the beauty of Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast albeit with some cars partially blocking the view!

Had an amazing morning on Friday at the JCULSS High Tea listening to stories from some of my colleagues speaking about the challenges we face as lawyers, particularly as women and the important of resilience.

It is great to attend another event which highlights resilience and the struggles we can face both as lawyers and as people in a community. Particularly struggles in terms of mental health and the importance of finding what "fills your cup" so that we are in a better position to help the community around us.

Thank you to the JCULSS for holding such an event. And thank you to the speakers for sharing your stories about your journeys both as women and as professionals.

I know I myself walked away inspired and with some important reminders and tips of how to continue working in the law.

I was lucky enough to spend last Friday out of the office at the beautiful Townsville Golf Club for the annual Cootharinga Charity golf day raising money to help support people living with disability in North Queensland. Thanks to Slater and Gordon Lawyers for letting me out of the office and funding the team. Thanks to Leah Harms, Thomas from Stevenson and McNamara Lawyers and Donna Chown from Life Legal for joining us.

It was a great day of laughs and fun and even better because I actually managed to hit a few good balls!

Great night out at the TDLA Trivia night on Friday night with my colleagues.

Heading home after a huge 2 days in Brisbane. I was lucky enough to be invited to Brisbane in my role as Vice President of our local law association as unfortunately the President was unable to make it.
Yesterday was spent workshopping with other presidents in the law associations both in regional Qld and South East Qld. I met alot of amazing people and took alot away from the workshop. The workshop was then followed by the QLS Legal Profession dinner. What a fabulous night.
