ABA/ROLI is a longstanding partner in the area of legal reform in Armenia beginning its work here in 1996 and continuing to the present. ABA ROLI has been involved in key milestones in Armenia's legal development including the creation of a single advocates' union, the development of the bar examination, and the creation of a Public Defender's office. ABA ROLI has successfully created a Trial Advo

cacy Skills program and legal clinical education program to help train and prepare Armenia's future lawyers. ABA ROLI has also helped evaluate Armenia's justice system by conducting the following key assessments: Legal Education Reform Index (LERI), Legal Profession Reform Index (LPRI), Judicial Reform Index (JRI) and Detention Procedure Assessment Tool (DPAT). These tools have been useful in identifying issues and shaping legislation in Armenia. ABA ROLI monitored elections in Armenia in 2008 and the 2012 parliamentary elections and will monitor the upcoming presidential elections. ABA ROLI also supports strategic litigation to develop and clarify important questions of law. Finally, ABA ROLI provides technical assistance and trainings to all sectors of the justice system. ABA ROLI is committed to strengthening Armenia's justice sector through its ongoing programming, training and work with our partners.

As part of the "Advancing Human Rights for All in Armenia" program funded by USAID a coordination meeting was carried out on 24 September in Vanadzor for youth leadership. The discussion table embraced the topic of human rights protection and promotion in the regions of Armenia.

On September 24, 2019, ABA ROLI, in the scope of the USAID funded “Advancing Human Rights for All in Armenia” project, in strong cooperation with the Office of Human Rights Defender (HRDO), facilitated the organization of another coordination meeting with local NGOs in Vanadzor. Participants discussed human rights protection and promotion issues in the regions of Armenia.

Սեպտեմբերի 24-ին Ամերիկյան իրավաբանների ընկերակցության (ABA ROLI) հայաստանյան ներկայացուցչությունը ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ-ի կողմից ֆինանսավորվող «Հայաստանում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության խթանում բոլորի համար» ծրագրի շրջանակներում ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի գրասենյակի հետ համագործակցությամբ իր հերթական աշխատանքային հանդիպումը իրականացրեց Վանաձորում գործող հասարակական կազմակերպությունների հետ: Մասնակիցները քննարկեցին ՀՀ մարզերում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության և խթանման հետ կապված հարցեր։

Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի աշխատակազմում շուրջ 4 անգամ աճել է դրական լուծում ստացած գործերի թիվն այն բողոքներով, որոնք վերաբերում են Պաշտպանի իրավասությանը։

Մասնավորապես, անհատական կամ կոլեկտիվ գործերով վերջին 5 տարիների տվյալների համեմատական պատկերը ցույց է տալիս, որ 2014 թվականին դրական լուծում ստացած բողոքների թիվը եղել է 385, 2015 թվականին՝ 498, 2016 թվականին՝ 444, 2017 թվականին այդ ցուցանիշը շուրջ երկու անգամ ավելացել է՝ դառնալով 845, իսկ արդեն 2018 թվականին՝ 1593, ինչը 748-ով կամ 88.5%-ով ավելի է 2017 թվականի ցուցանիշից:

2019 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 17-ի դրությամբ դրական լուծում ստացած բողոքների թիվը կազմել է 1039, ինչը 51-ով կամ 5.2%-ով ավելի է նախորդ տարվա նույն ժամանակահատվածի ցուցանիշից:

On July 26, 2019 ABA ROLI, within the scopes of the USAID-funded “Advancing Human Rights for All in Armenia” project, in cooperation with the Office of Human Rights Defender (HRDO), facilitated the organization of another coordination meeting between HRDO and the representatives of non-governmental organizations operating in human rights field in Gavar. The discussion evolved around promotion of women rights in Gegharkunik region. The meeting hosted 44 participants.

Հուլիսի 26-ին Ամերիկյան իրավաբանների ընկերակցության (ABA ROLI) հայաստանյան ներկայացուցչությունը ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ-ի կողմից ֆինանսավորվող «Հայաստանում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության խթանում բոլորի համար» ծրագրի շրջանակներում ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի գրասենյակի հետ համատեղ կազմակերպեց հերթական աշխատանքային հանդիպումը` ՀՀ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի աշխատակազմի և Գավառում գործող իրավապաշտպան հասարակական կազմակերպությունների միջև: Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարվեցին տարբեր հարցեր կապված Գեղարքունիքի մարզում կանանց իրավունքների խթանման հետ։ Հանդիպմանը մասնակեցեց 44 ներկայացուցիչ։

On July 26 ABA ROLI Armenia within the framework of “Advancing Human Rights for All in Armenia” project, funded by USAID, in cooperation with the RA Human Rights Defender Office, organized a coordination meeting with state body representatives in Gavar. Issues related to the exercise of economic rights of women in Gegharkunik region were on the agenda. 26 representatives attended the meeting.
