Is your UAE residency dependent on your spouse?

If you’re living in the UAE under your spouse’s sponsorship and they pass away, their residency visa will be canceled, which can also result in the cancellation of the dependent visas linked to them.

This can leave families dealing with residency arrangements at an already incredibly difficult time.

One way to plan ahead is to consider independent residency, rather than relying solely on your spouse’s sponsorship.

For example, if you hold your own Golden Visa, your residency is independent and can continue until its expiry date.

A great day at the Future Workforce Summit 2026! 🎙️

Just Wills was proud to sponsor this year’s Khaleej Times Future Workforce Summit, bringing together HR professionals, people leaders and organizations from across the UAE to discuss the future of the workplace.

Our Global Corporate Accounts Director, Uzayr Marria, also took to the stage for the panel discussion, “Leading Across Generations and Building a Future-Ready Workforce,” sharing his perspective alongside an impressive panel of industry leaders.

Another week of meaningful conversations across the UAE.

This week, our team had the pleasure of delivering succession planning and employee wellbeing sessions to organizations across multiple locations.

A huge thank you to Savills Middle East for welcoming Uzayr to all three of your offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. It was fantastic to see such strong engagement and thoughtful discussions throughout each session.

We also had the opportunity to connect with the team at MCN | Middle East Communications Network, continuing important conversations around Wills and succession planning.
