When a property is registered in one spouse’s name, it can get complicated during a divorce. Even if your name is not on the title, your financial or physical contributions towards the property still count. Keep all receipts and proof of payments, and put them in your name if possible. These records become crucial evidence if you need to claim a share of the property in court.

1. Either parent can claim maintenance on behalf of their minor children.

2. A probation officer or guardian can claim maintenance on behalf of minor children.

3. Any person with care or custody of minor children can claim maintenance.

4. A spouse can claim maintenance, subject to certain conditions.

5. A child who has reached 18 years but is not yet self-sufficient can claim maintenance from their parents.
