Advancing Zambia’s Digital Economy: A Landmark Partnership for MSME Financing
At Kaumbu Mwondela Legal Practitioners, we are honored to witness the successful launch of "Pamo", the National MSME Financing Platform, a transformative initiative by Fauree today Friday 8th May 2026. The event was graced by the Minister of Technology and Science, Hon. Felix C. Mutati, MP, who served as the Guest of Honor and delivered a stirring keynote address.
During his address, Hon. Mutati emphasized that "government is not in the business of doing business" and underscored that the State's role is to "facilitate and regulate" while opening doors for the private sector to lead. He noted that Pamo serves as the "digital rails" necessary to turn policy design into scalable delivery.
The event was also graced by Fauree’s leadership, including Chairman Suleiman Alassaf and Co-Founder & CEO Azhar Tasadduq, whose global expertise in supply chain finance is now centered on Zambia’s growth. The event brought together the Permanent Secretary and key leaders from across the public, private, and SME sectors to witness this shift toward a more visible, productive economy.
Why this matters to the Legal Community:
*Formalization: Pamo aims to formalize the 96% of unregistered MSMEs, bringing "invisible" activity into verified digital records—a critical step for legal and financial protection.
*Policy Ex*****on: The platform turns legislative intent into continuous ex*****on, enabling targeted interventions and real-time economic intelligence.
*National Impact: With a projected $600 Million GDP increase and 100,000 jobs created, we are poised to provide the legal framework that secures this investment and fosters sustainable scaling.
Kaumbu Mwondela Legal Practitioners is proud to support Fauree and the Pamo initiative as we work together to power growth, connect futures, and transform lives.⚖️🇿🇲
