THE SPEAR OF WORKERS – OFFICIAL PUBLIC NOTICE TO ALL SOUTH AFRICAN WORKERS
3-Month Loyalty Window (Dec 2025 – Feb 2026)
New Membership Policy Coming in March 2026
Comrades,
As the Directors of The Spear Of Workers NPC, we are addressing a very important concern that affects the long-term stability of our organisation and the fairness owed to our loyal members.
Since launching our membership programme, we have noticed a clear pattern:
Many workers know about The Spear Of Workers for months or even years,
but choose not to join until the day they face a hearing, unfair dismissal or workplace crisis.
When that happens, the worker joins only at the moment of emergency, pays one month’s contribution, and immediately requires full assistance, representation guidance, case building, and long-term support.
While we deeply care about helping every worker who is suffering, this behaviour creates serious risks for the organisation and the members who have been contributing faithfully.
WHY THIS IS A PROBLEM
1. It drains the contributions of loyal members
Workers who join only when they are already in trouble do not stay long in membership because most lose income during their disputes.
This means:
They contribute once,
Then their entire case must be funded by the contributions of loyal members who have been paying monthly.
This is not fair to those who support the organisation consistently.
2. It harms the financial stability of the organisation
The Spear Of Workers is an NPC (Non-Profit Company).
We survive ONLY through member contributions.
When too many workers join only when they have heavy cases, the organisation:
cannot save,
cannot build reserves,
cannot grow its economy,
and cannot protect members in the future.
3. It places everyone at risk
If this continues, there will come a time when we cannot fully support our loyal members because the organisation’s resources will be spent on people who only contributed once and never helped sustain the NPC.
WE RESPECT ALL WORKERS, BUT WE MUST PROTECT THE ORGANISATION
We do not blame any worker for seeking help when they are in trouble —
but joining ONLY when you need help, while ignoring membership when times are good,
is harmful, unsustainable, and unfair to other workers who keep this organisation alive.
We want an organisation where:
Workers join because they believe in the mission
Workers support the organisation even when things are peaceful
Workers help build the economy that will help THEM if crisis comes
This is true loyalty.
3-MONTH GRACE PERIOD: DECEMBER 2025 – FEBRUARY 2026
We are giving ALL workers three full months to join The Spear Of Workers voluntarily,
while things are still good at their workplace.
If workers use this grace period wisely,
the policy below will NOT be enforced.
We will continue serving everyone immediately.
But if by the end of February 2026 we still receive mostly “emergency only” sign-ups,
then we will implement the new membership policy below.
NEW POLICY – EFFECTIVE MARCH 2026 (If Necessary)
Option 1: Normal Joining (Waiting Period)
Any new member will have a 3-month waiting period
before their membership benefits become active.
This allows the organisation to remain stable and fair to all contributors.
Option 2: Immediate Assistance (Buy-Out Option)
If a worker joins already having a workplace dispute and needs immediate support,
they may unlock their benefits immediately by paying a once-off joining fee of R450,
plus their normal monthly contribution.
This buy-out helps protect the contributions of loyal members.
WHY THIS POLICY IS FAIR
Loyal members have been contributing and keeping the organisation alive.
Workers who join without problems show real belief and trust in The Spear Of Workers.
The organisation needs financial stability to support heavy, long-term cases.
Emergency-only joiners cannot be allowed to drain resources paid by others.
This policy ensures balance, fairness, and sustainability.
OUR MESSAGE TO ALL WORKERS
If you believe in The Spear Of Workers…
If you know we fight for justice…
If you trust that one day you may need us…
If you want us to be strong enough to help you in your crisis…
Then join now while things are still calm at your workplace.
Do not wait for disaster.
Do not join only when you want to withdraw from the system you never contributed to.
We help every worker with a pure heart —
but we also have a duty to protect our loyal members
and the organisation that fights for all workers’ rights.
FINAL WORD
The Spear Of Workers is here for ALL workers,
but the organisation can only survive if workers stand with us consistently —
not only during emergencies.
Loyalty builds protection.
Consistency builds strength.
Membership builds justice.
We are giving all workers 3 months to do the right thing.
If loyalty does not improve, the new policy will be activated in March 2026.
