To explain wife failed to prove that she was dependent on the deceased and was estranged from him ... girlfriend on the other was able to prove that and it was found that she was a factual dependent. The Pension Fund is dealt with separate from the Will, this benefit does not form part of the deceased estate. However by virtue of the marriage the wife may benefit from the rest of the deceased estate eg Houses, cars shares. R4.5 million is still a lot of money !!!!!
