በጎንደር ዮኒቨርሲቲ የህግ ተማሪወች እጅግ ፈታኝ ከሆኑ አምስት አመታት ድካም በኀላ በሀገር አቀፍ ደረጃ የሚሰጠውን የህግ የመውጫ ፈተና ሙሉ በሙሉ በሚባል ደረጃ በአጥጋቢ ውጤት በማለፋችሁ እንኳን ደስ አላችሁ፡፡ ከዚህ ከባድ ኃላፊነት በተጨማሪ የአካባቢውን ማህበረሰብ ደከመኝ ሳትሉ ነፃ የህግ ድጋፍ በመስጠት ለሶስት አመታት የሰጣችሁት አገልግሎት ሙሉ ሰው መሆናችሁን ያረጋግጣል፡፡ ኮርተንባችኀል

የጎንደር ዩኒበቨርሲቲ ነፃ ህግ ድጋፍ መስጫ ማእከል በ2009 ዓ.ም እስከ ግንቦት ወር ድረስ ለ4556 አቅመ ደካሞች ነፃ የህግ ድጋፍ አገልግሎት ሰጠ፡፡ አገልግሎቱን ያገኙት ወገኖች ሴቶች፣ ህፃናት፣ አካል ጉዳተኞች፣ ኤች.አይ.ቪ ቫይረስ በደማቸው የሚገኙ ወገኖች፣ የድሀ ድሀ ወገኖች እና አዛውንቶች ነበሩ፡፡ ከተገልጋዮች መካከል 60 ለሚሆኑ ተጠቃሚወች ከወረዳ እስከ ፌደራል ጠቅላይ ፍርድ ቤት ድረስ የጥብቅና አገልግሎት አግኝተዋል፡፡ አገልግሎቱን አየሰጡ ለሚገኙ የህግ መምህራን፣ የህግ ተማሪወች፣ ደህግ ባለሙያወችና የአስተዳደር ሰራተኞች እና በተለያዩ የሀላፊነት ደረጃ የሚገኙ የዩኒቨርሲቲያችን አመራር እንዲሁም በየወረዳው ለሚገኙ የፍትህ ፅ/ቤቶች ላቅ ያለ ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን፡፡

School of Law of University of Gondar has been providing capacity building training to Maksegnit social court judges on proclamation no.151/2000. It continues to provide the same to other social court judges.

School of Law of University of Gondar has continued to provide intensive capacity building training to Social Court judges, in Chilga Woreda, who are supposed to entertain small claims as per the Court's establishment Proclamation No. 151/2000. Social courts haven't been given due attention though the judges have been setteling disputes at the grass root level. Adequate attention and continued empowerment shall be given to them. Social court judges need to be heard as they are busy in settling disputes in the neighbourhood so that to maintain order at the household level. UoG has now started a good move, but more is expected.

በጎንደር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የህግ ት/ቤት ዩኒቨርሲቲዉ በሚገኝበት ሰሜን ጎንደርና በደቡብ ጎንደር ሁለት ወረዳወች አስራ አምስት ነፃ የህግ ማእከላትን አቋቋሞ ለሴቶች፤ ህፃናት፤ አዛዉንቶች፤ ለአካል ጉዳተኞች እና ቫይረሱ በደማቸዉ ዉስጥ ለሚገኝ የህብረተሰብ ክፍሎች ነፃ የህግ ድጋፍ አገልግሎት እየሰጠ ሲሆን በያዝነዉ 2008 ዓ.ም በጠቅላላዉ ለ6088 ተጠቃሚወች አገልግሎት የተሰጠ ሲሆን ከነዚህ ዉስጥ 2468ቱ ሴቶች ሲሆኑ 3620ዎቹ ወንድ ተጠቃሚወች ናቸዉ፡፡

የሚሰጠዉ አገልግሎት የህግ ምክር፤ የተለያዩ የህግ ፅሁፍ አገልግሎቶች፤ ፍርድ ቤት ተወክሎ መከራከር፤ የንቃተ ህግ ትምህርት መስጠት፤ በአማራጭ የግጭት መፍቻ ዘዴወች ሰወችን ማስማማትና ለተጨማሪ አገልግሎት ከሌሎች አገልግሎት ሰጭወች ጋር ማገናኘት ሲሆኑ ይህንን አገልግሎት ከህግ መምህራንና የህግ ባለሙያወች ጋር በመሆን በግንባር ቀደምትነት ነባር የህግ ተማሪወች ረጅም ርቀት ድረስ እየሰጡ ይገኛሉ፡፡ ወጣት ተማሪወቹ ይህንን አገልግሎት ለመስጠት ከፍተኛ ፍላጎት ያላቸዉና የሚሰጡትም አገልግሎት ደረጃዉን የጠበቀ እንዲሆን ከፍተኛ ጥረት ያደርጋሉ፡፡ ይህን መሰል ድርጊት ማህበራዊ ፋይዳዉ እጅግ የጎላ ሰለሆነ የጎንደር ዩኒቨርሲቲ የህግ ተማሪወች፤ መምህራን፤ የማእከላቱ የህግ ባለሙያወች እያበረከቱት ላለዉ የበጎ አድራጎት ማህበራዊ አገልግሎት ተግባር ከፍ ያለ ምስጋና እያቀረብኩ ተመራቂ የህግ ተማሪወች ከአመታት ድካም በኃላ ላስመዘገባችሁት ሀገር ዓቀፍ የህግ የመዉጫ ፈተና አመርቂ ዉጤት እንኳን ደስ ያላችሁ እንላለን፡፡

VACANCY ANNOUNCMENT
The Human resource managment of University of Gondar has announced to interested applicants to apply to the post of legal officers to the Law School legal aid centers. Vacant posts are two and applicants shall fullfil the following conditions. Must have LL.B Degree with 0 years expriance, must pass the national exit exam, shall be willing to work in the legal aid centers including D/Tabor, Addis Zemen, Makesegnit, Kola Diba, Ciliga, Tikil Dingay, Ambagiowrgis, Debark, Dabat, and Gondar; priority will be given to the applicant who have expriance in the free legal aid service while s/he was a student (certificate).

Law instructors, all administrators, specially law students
of University of Gondar have been providing free legal aid service to vulnerable segment of the community. The students and instructors are able to provide such a service travelling long distance and by affording the unaffordable, sacrificing what they have to eat or enjoy like their young fellow. They are heros of improving access to justice to vulnerable segment of the community, particularly to women. Thus, March 8 is your day. Enjoy this day and imagine what you have been contributing to end inequality against women.
