Specifically, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will no longer accept driver's licenses that are not compliant with the REAL ID Act as proof of identification for domestic flights.

The Fifth Circuit limited the effect of its ruling in several important ways:

- Allows current DACA recipients to apply to renew their DACA while the case is on appeal. This means current DACA recipients can continue to apply to DHS to renew their DACA grants.

- Decided that the relief in this case is limited to Texas. This means that the ruling that strikes down parts of DACA applies only to Texas and people in Texas.

- Upheld the part of DACA that allows federal officials to classify DACA recipients as low priorities for removal and to not remove them. The Fifth Circuit decided “that forbearance from removal can be preserved as part of DACA.”
