Sac High Mock Trial Team The Mock Trial team is a after school club that will compete in a region wide mock trial against other schools. All students are welcome.

Sacramento Charter High School has a long mock trial tradition through our Street Law International and Student Legal Advocacy Movement (SLAM) programs. This page is devoted to the next step in that tradition, adding Sac High to the regions competitive Gordon D. Schaber Mock Trial & Moot Court Competition. Sacramento Charter High School students of all grades and legal studies backgrounds are inv

ited to join the team to improve their legal argumentation and public speaking abilities, be apart of a competitive academic based team and improve their college as well as employment applications. The Mock Trial team is lucky to have lots of professional support. Leading the team is attorney coach Colleen Villarreal of the Gutierrez Law Group, teacher coaches Hans Van Horn, David Norton and Zachary Scalzo of McGeorge School of Law and Jennifer Clement, Sacramento Charter High School Legal Studies Coordinator. The team will meet after school in E35 once a week to start and more often as competition draws near. Team participants will gain school pride points for attending meetings and events and satisfy Senior Portfolio requirements for participating in extracurricular activities. At least one Senior in LPS Capstone may be eligible to intern with the team as a student leader.
