Get the charges in writing
You must know exactly what you’re accused of.
2️⃣ Get at least 48 hours’ notice
You need time to prepare.
3️⃣ You have the right to see the evidence
They can’t surprise you in the hearing.
4️⃣ You may bring a representative
A colleague, union rep, or anyone allowed by company policy.
5️⃣ The hearing must be fair
Neutral chairperson, chance to speak, chance to question witnesses.
6️⃣ The employer must prove the case
Not you.
7️⃣ You must receive the outcome in writing
With reasons.
