I recently appeared on Krystal Crittendon's show on 910 AM Super Station, to discuss the changes to Michigan's No-Fault law currently being debated in Lansing. Not surprisingly, I am opposed to the changes, as they solely benefit the insurance industry at the expense of taxpayers. Some highlights:

- Any rate reduction is capped at 5 years. After that period, there is no limit to premium increases.

- The 20% decrease is only on single-line item, not the *entire* bill.

- You can already reduce premiums by opting for coordinated medical benefits, ie., designating your health insurance or Medicare as primary coverage.

- The alleged 50% reduction in premiums will only apply if you drop collision and comprehensive (theft, vandalism) coverage. This has not a single thing to do with the cost of medical treatment.

I urge you to contact your Representative or Senator to oppose this proposed legislation as currently written, and tell them to get to work on a comprehensive bill that will benefit the citizens of the State of Michigan.
