I hear from so many second-time parents that they regret spending time on silly things during their first pregnancy. They tell me they wish they knew things that actually mattered, so they could avoid the trauma during their first baby's birth.

For one week, this little cabin in the woods became our home.

While we're waiting to move into our new home, God gave us a beautiful place to slow down. Mornings with coffee on the porch. Horses grazing in the pasture. Sunshine through the trees.

I love that these horses once raced at Saratoga and won championships. Now they spend their days peacefully grazing in the fields.

"He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul." Psalm 23:2-3

This week felt like a little glimpse of that.

Big heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to the networking gathering last weekend! New and seasoned birth doulas, postpartum doulas, lactation consultants, childbirth educators.

It made my heart sing to see all of you mingle and support each other, as you support local families. All of you are quietly changing the world, one birth and one family at a time.

Thank you for being my village over the years. Even though I'm moving to New York, a piece of my heart will stay here in Massachusetts.
