Wellesley College's only sustainable living cooperative, the SCOOP is located in Homestead. We live in a conscientiously sustainable and thoughtful manner, working to reduce our impact on the earth and its resources. We, as members of the Sustainability Co-operative and as active advocates of sustainable change, work to:
1. Educate the Wellesley Community on issues of the environment and sustaina
bility
3. Giving back to our community through both a strengthening of our own and broader community
4. To be mindful and to commit in our daily lives to take measures to conserve all of our resources including water and electricity
As a committed group of young activist, farmers, advocates, educators, leaders, and students we pledge to take our passion of sustainability out and beyond the co-op in ways that promote a sustainable justice. Instituting this:
1. We will pursue food in a sustainable conscious manner through buying as local as we can and buying from farms and stores that house local organic food
2. Educating the Wellesley Community through dinners open to the Wellesley Community
3. Community service to local farms and environmental organizations
