Whew! 2021 was probably the most unbalanced year of my life. Professionally, I did well … personally, not so much. Anyway, here’s some observations I’ve made:
1. Burnout is real. Resting is equally important as grinding. Tip the scales too far in either direction and you will falter.
2. Money doesn’t buy happiness … but it can rent happiness.
3. Peace is a priority and comes at a premium.
4. Make sure the people closest to you pour into you as much as you do them. Sometimes, it’s necessary to be selfish.
5. Keep having the tough conversations. It’s possible to lose and regain your faith all in one sitting.
6. You can learn a lot from a child. They are really the purest version of ourselves.
7. Children will learn a lot from you. Don’t corrupt their purity.
8. Your health is fragile and fleeting. Life can change in an instant. Take care of your body.
9. Family is everything. Friends too. Savor the moments you have with them.
10. Bet on yourself always. I’ve never lost that way.
Here’s to balance in 2022!
