Just as it was once acceptable to express racism, society has advanced and we as a society now shun those who express racist statements. Don't argue with gun advocates over the 2nd Amendment or anything else. Simply Shun them by telling them they are part of the problem and that you are not interested in debating the issue. Accept that guns are here in America but express that you don't have to like guns, their uses or gun owners. Use this site to make suggestions. The fact that society is looking for the government to do something to change the situation is necessary because gun owners, gun manufacturers and gun advocates have never taken personal or collective responsibility to work to solve the problem.
