Hello Sand in the City® folks. Sorry I've been a little light on posting.
The fact is that SitC is being sued for $800K for a "Trademark" violation.
It seems that the sponsor of the 1st SitC now claims that he is the trademark owner.
The fact that I've had the trademark since 2008, (and applied and thought I had it since 1998), and that I did events all across the country for 20 years doesn't matter to this person.
My lawyer says that I've got the law on my side, and we'll win the case. But, it costs $5K/month to defend myself, and all SitC contests have cancelled so as not to be party to a lawsuit. So, I've been busy with the case, and trying to come up with the $$ to defend myself.
Not fun.
Hopefully we'll get through this, and we can start some new contests. Meantime, keep playing in the sand.
