If you are waiting for your tax refund, this is from the IRS.
Good things come to those who wait. If you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit, your refund can take a little longer. Use the Where's My Refund tool to get an updated status by February 17. If you filed electronically, requested direct deposit and had no issues with your return, you can get your refund as early as February 27. Some taxpayers may see their refunds earlier.

Deadline for filing forms 1099's is Tuesday, Jan 31st! If you need these forms filed now is the time to hurry it up. If you file these late there is a fine the IRS can apply to your business.
