Today marks a new chapter for the Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office as Kevin Holmes is no longer serving as our elected prosecutor following his confirmation by the United States Senate to serve as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas. We are incredibly thankful for his leadership, service, and the lasting impact he made on our office and community throughout his time serving Crawford County.

We would also like to officially welcome Denis Dean as the new Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney. Denis was appointed by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders to fill the role and was sworn in today alongside our Deputy Prosecutors. He brings 18 years of prosecutorial experience and previously served as Chief Deputy Prosecutor in Washington County.

We are excited for this new chapter and look forward to continuing the work of serving our community, supporting victims, and pursuing justice for Crawford County. Welcome to Crawford County, Denis

As Victims’ Rights Week comes to a close, we reflect on what this week truly stands for.
Behind every case is a person a life impacted and a voice that deserves to be heard.
Purple represents more than awareness. It represents compassion, strength, resilience, and our unwavering commitment to those we serve. From our office to our local law enforcement, we stand united in one shared mission: seeking justice while ensuring victims are treated with dignity, respect, and care every step of the way.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Van Buren Police Department, Alma Police Department , and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office for standing alongside us this week. Your dedication to protecting our community and supporting victims does not go unnoticed.
Victims matter because they are more than a case and report number. they are people whose voices deserve to be heard and whose healing deserves to be supported. They are mothers, fathers, children, and friends navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives, deserving compassion, understanding, and advocacy.
This work is not easy. It is heavy. But it matters.
We will continue to stand beside them, speak up for them, and fight for them—not just this week, but every single day.
