One of my main jobs as a MS Notary Public is to properly identify the signer.
In the senior community I am told by signers that once they stopped driving, they didn't need to get an ID.
You still need to obtain a MS State ID Card issued by MS DPS. There are a couple other options available to prove identity for notary service such as current passport, or military ID. To apply for a state ID card in Mississippi, visit your local MS DPS office and: Complete and sign an application form (available from the MS DPS office)
