I have often quipped that lawyers are much like undertakers. That's because people call us when they face a major crisis.
That may not always be the case. Adoptions (which I do) and patent law (which I also do) can produce happy situations. But usually, when people come to see me, its for the difficult things (like criminal law or personal injuries).
I share a birthday with President Franklin Roosevelt. Ever since I learned this as a child, I have identified with him to one degree or another. If you remember your history, you will see film of him bringing comfort and cheer to people during the Great Depression, while sticking it to the Axis powers during the War.
Well, that is what I like to do for my clients.
When times are toughest, I want to bring comfort and compassion to people who have made mistakes But I also want to bring justice and healing to those who have suffered incalculable loss due to the wrongdoing of others.
The greatest honors I have ever had are when people have trusted me with their pain. It takes courage to pick up the phone and call an attorney to say, "Hey, I need help." I understand that. So when people contact me with their needs, even if they don't hire me, I am genuinely humbled by the trust they place in me.
So if you live in Mississippi or Tennessee (or have a case that involves people in Mississippi or Tennessee) and you need a lawyer who will give you advice and counsel in a difficult time, please contact me. (Or if you know of someone who needs help, have them contact me.) My website is below. Feel free to share.
I look forward to hearing from you.
