There are some lives that become a testament to what it means to believe in something greater than oneself.

Chairman Lawrence Hamm has carried a strong, unshakeable belief in justice for more than 50 years not as a passing conviction, but as a calling.

Through decades of advocacy, organizing, and service, he has remained steadfast in the work of making justice more than a promise, but a reality.

His induction into the NAACP Hall of Fame is a beautiful recognition of a life spent standing on principle and standing in the gap for others.

We celebrated the honor but more importantly, we honor the journey, the sacrifice, the courage, and the unwavering commitment behind it.

The flowers are well deserved.

And may we remember to give people their flowers while they can still smell them—and to let their example remind us that the work of justice is never finished.

Congratulations Chairman

So they held meetings BEFORE they got rid of the police director.

This is after a DOJ report came out.
While additional “f-ups” under his watch had accumulated, he still has a job? And y'all got Caldwell in my face?

“I know you lying.”

So hold on the Governor came here to this City and the Police Director still has a job???

Who faces are they playing in? Certainly not mine!

Politics101 he ass has to go TOO!!!!

What a minute hold the hell up

Sooooo you mean to tell me Black leadership can come together and call for Caldwell to resign, but y'all can't come together and call for either this mayor to step down and or definitely this director to resign his position?

Something's wrong here.

09/26/2026

If you call for Caldwell to resign WHY IN THE HELL do this police director still have a job??????

09/26/2026

If Caldwell has to go, he has to go. THAT STILL doesn’t negate her obligations to the Black community, and we don’t want another round of meetings on 100-year-old issues.

We want action, Governor!

Oh, and somebody let the Mayor know we still want to know why the Police Director has a job.

Keep the theatrics.
