Today marks the 36th Annual Sloan Law Firm Chili Contest! There were 11 entries this year from staff and attorneys in our office. All were delicious, but Allison Hibler took home 1st place, followed by Carla Ashby in 2nd, and Brian Jacques in 3rd. Congrats to the winners and better luck next year to the rest of our participants!

We owe a big thank you to our guest judges from Fidelity State Bank, Mark Kossler and Craig Cook, who were joined by our in-house judge, Maggie Shermoen.

Due to the winter storm, road conditions and predicted low temperatures, our offices will be closed on Monday, January 6. District Courts in both Shawnee and Douglas counties have announced they will be closed as well. If you had a hearing scheduled on Monday, please contact your attorney on Tuesday to find out about re-scheduling.
