Congratulations to my law school classmate, colleague, and dear friend, Molly Ebraheim, on being sworn in as this year’s President of The Toledo Women’s Bar Association.

I’m so grateful to have had you by my side over the years as we’ve navigated both our professional and personal lives together after law school. The practice of law can be demanding and isolating at times — especially for working moms balancing careers, families, and everything in between. That’s why organizations like the TWBA are so important. Having a community of women lawyers to support, mentor, encourage, advocate for, and sometimes simply commiserate with one another makes an incredible difference.

Women like you help create and strengthen those spaces, and I know your leadership will continue to make the TWBA an even more impactful organization for women in our profession. I’m excited to see what you bring to the role this year, and I know you’re going to do an amazing job! 👏⚖️

Bummed I couldn’t attend the 2026 Toledo Bar Association Annual Golf Outing honoring Kenneth I. White Sr. (though, to be fair, no one wants me on their team anyway — terrible golfer here).

Still, I’m proud to support the event as a hole sponsor benefiting the Toledo Bar Association Pro Bono Legal Services Program. This incredible program connects low-income individuals in Lucas County with volunteer attorneys who provide much-needed legal assistance across a wide range of issues.

Access to quality legal representation can make a real difference in people’s lives, and I’m grateful to support an organization doing such meaningful work in our community. Hope everyone had a great day on the course!

9 years later, I’m back at the University of Toledo College of Law Commencement—this time inviting new graduates to join the University of Toledo College of Law Alumni Affiliate. It was an honor to return to the place that helped shape my legal career, reconnect with faculty and alumni, and celebrate the next generation of attorneys.

This year was especially meaningful because I also had the opportunity to teach my first class as an adjunct professor. Seeing students I taught walk across the stage made the day even more rewarding. I’m especially grateful that my mom was able to join me for this full-circle moment on Mother’s Day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there. As a new mom myself, I appreciate more than ever the sacrifices mothers make to ensure their children have the love, support, and opportunities they need to succeed. I’m thankful for the example my own mom set and for the support she’s given me every step of the way.

I had a great time this week at the Ohio Association for Justice Annual Convention in Columbus. It was a great opportunity to hear so many outstanding speakers share what they’re doing in their practices to achieve great results for their clients.

I also enjoyed reconnecting with colleagues I typically only get to see a few times a year at OAJ events, and it was great meeting so many new attorneys as well.

Dealing with difficult insurance companies and medical billing companies can sometimes feel like a constant uphill battle, but events like this remind me how meaningful the work we do as attorneys truly is and how many people we have the opportunity to help.⚖️🤍

Last night I had the pleasure of attending my first event as a partner with the Monroe County Business Alliance—and it did not disappoint.

It was such a great experience connecting with fellow small business owners, sharing ideas, and just enjoying the energy in the room. There’s something really special about being surrounded by people who are building, growing, and supporting one another.

Had the opportunity to speak Monday at the Lucas County Bar Association about what Ohio drivers need to know when driving in Michigan.

Cross the state line and the legal framework changes quickly — from Ohio’s fault system to Michigan’s no-fault rules, threshold injuries, the 30-day rule, and mini-tort law.
