They were born in the US, but are not US citizens, how?

Most people think being born here automatically makes you a US citizen, but there are actually a few rare exceptions under the 14th Amendment.
Like if your parents are foreign diplomats with full immunity, or if you're born in American Samoa (where you're actually a US national instead).

Green Card renewed in under 30 days.

It's good to see Government Agencies working they way they are supposed to. If you can get your Driver's Licensed renewed in under 10 days, you should definitely be able to get your Green Card renewed in under 30 days. Especially with all the resources that USCIS has.

This should be the norm, not something to celebrate.

You may have seen headlines this week claiming USCIS has "ended" green cards from inside the U.S. That's not what happened. The May 21 policy memo (PM-602-0199) does not change the law or who's eligible—it tells officers to treat adjustment of status as discretionary "extraordinary" relief, meaning meeting the basic requirements no longer guarantees approval.

This is an aggressive policy shift, and we think it rests on shaky legal ground. Many in the legal community expect it to be challenged in court, and we'll be watching closely.

In the meantime, don't act on a headline. Before withdrawing an application, booking travel, or rushing to file, talk to us. Every case is different, and we'll help you make an informed decision instead of a fearful one.
