“Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a difference in the world. A veteran doesn’t have that problem.” — Ronald Reagan

Today, we pause to honor the incredible men and women who’ve worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication to protecting our freedoms mean more than words can express.

To every veteran — thank you for your service, your strength, and your love of country. Because of you, we get to live free. Let’s never take that for granted.

Never ever forget the day and the Americans we lost. Remember we are ONE nation under God. We are one people. We are Americans. We are strong and we should stand together to fight against those who are against our country.

PSA…effective today (9/1/2025) there are new, more aggressive penalties for certain DWI offenses.

- SB 826 makes DWI in active school zone a state jail felony with a punishment range of 6 months to 2 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

- HB 2017 makes it a 1st degree felony if in the country illegally and operates a motor vehicle while intoxicated and because of the impaired operation causes death of a person by accident or mistake. This means 5-life and up to $10,000.00 fine…and NO probation under the new law

- SB 745 makes it a first degree felony if, while operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, causes the death of more than one person during the same criminal transaction. This means 5-life and up to $10,000.00 fine…

Big changes…

So proud to fight for clients...Legal Resident Client was charged with Terroristic Threat. Showed proof client's vehicle was burglarized two weeks prior to "offense". Showed proof of some person casing client's vehicle the night before "offense". Then, showed proof client confronted a person who looked like the person the night before, driving a vehicle like the night before...client never seen with a gun and cannot hear any threats...just the "victim" yelling we're in America....you cant do that...all on video. Well, yes he can. State still wanted a trial...So did we. Upon closer scrutiny, the state decided the right thing to do was to dismiss all charges. Thanks to reasonable ADA's who just get it.

So I’ve been busy with court and endodontist and haven’t realized I didn’t post Texas is about to make short barreled rifles and shotguns no longer criminal weapons under Texas law… All we need now is the governor signing the bill.

But don’t get too excited because they’re still federally regulated.

H**p bad. Sawed off shotguns and short barrelled rifles, OK.
