I know that this post is a bit delayed, but it has taken awhile for it all to sink in. The results were so close it took some time for me to get comfortable with it. With that being said, I cannot thank each and every person who cast a vote for me enough. To me, it was not just a vote, but a sign of your belief and confidence in me and my ability to serve the people of Preston and Tucker counties as Circuit Court Judge. I am deeply honored to hold this position and intend to serve these communities well.

Thank you to each and every person who supported me, whether that was by voting, placing a sign at your business or home, or just sharing your opinion with your friends, family, or neighbors. Each and every vote mattered.

A special thank you goes out to my dear cousin and campaign committee treasurer, Tom McConnell. Your support and companionship on the campaign trail was tremendously valuable and made the experience very memorable. This result certainly would not have been achieved without you.

I look forward to taking office in January 2025 and serving our communities for the next eight years.

My daughter, Cassidy, joined me on the campaign trail yesterday. We enjoyed some biscuits and gravy at the Newburg Senior Center, pancakes at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Parsons, and a visit with the Easter Bunny at the Bruceton Bandonville Volunteer Fire Department. Thanks to BBVFD Auxiliary and Pizza Pro for sponsoring the event.

Meet the candidate - Post 3

Many are not as fortunate to have a high school experience similar to mine. While my academic experience was what you might expect for a normal high school student, my athletic experience exceeded my expectations.

In the early 2000s, Preston High School emerged as a force in distance running. From the fall of 2003 through the spring of 2007, I was fortunate to be teammates with some amazing athletes who helped Preston High School win 3 AAA State Champion Runner-Up titles in Cross Country and 2 AAA State Champion titles in Track and Field. The dedication of my teammates and the coaching staff showed me the value of hard work and determination.

The running program at Preston High School had an enormous impact my life, so when a head track & field coaching position became available in 2018, I jumped at the opportunity to teach athletes what my coaches had taught me. For the 2018 and 2019 track & field seasons we worked very hard. The team produced multiple all-state performers and the first individual state champion in many years.

While the obligations to my law practice don’t provide me with the time to coach anymore, I still find ways to support the sport. I have sponsored a middle school track meet and continue to volunteer at events. I’ll always be a supporter of the program that gave so much to me.
