All right, so I want to share something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately, and I think it’s going to hit home for a lot of you.

Over time, I’ve noticed that people don’t just start using AI and magically “get it.” There’s actually a very real evolution that almost everyone goes through, and once you see it, things start to make way more sense.

Here’s the journey I keep seeing again and again:
1️⃣ Skepticism or hesitation.
This is the stage where AI feels intimidating or even a little scary. Some people avoid it completely because it feels overwhelming or unclear.

2️⃣ Wonder and excitement
Then you try it… and you’re like, wow. This is amazing. Everything feels possible, and you start leaning on it a lot. Over-reliance and over-prompting. You start writing super long prompts, trying to be perfect, thinking more detail equals better answers.
Ironically, this is where AI starts slowing you down instead of saving time.

3️⃣ Disillusionment and frustration
Eventually, the results don’t match the expectations. You realize AI is helpful, but it’s not the expert. That part can feel frustrating. This is where some people throw the baby out with the bath water ( I almost did... )

4️⃣ Research and skill-building
This is a big turning point. You realize you need to bring your own expertise and conduct some deep research. You start learning how to ask better questions, provide better data and knowledge document to get more grounded answers.

5️⃣ Custom tools and early agents
Now you’re building custom GPTs, notebooks, or simple agents that are focused on one thing. Super powerful, but still very hands-on and time-consuming.

6️⃣Dynamic, evolving agents
This is where it gets really interesting. You start building systems that remember, adapt, and evolve with you. They learn from past conversations, changing behavior, and real-time data.

7️⃣ The co-pilot stage
At this point, AI is no longer just responding. It’s pushing back, spotting gaps, surfacing opportunities, and helping you think better. Almost like a co-CEO or strategic partner.

Basically, this whole thing isn’t about tools. It’s about growth. And every stage has a purpose.
