Bailey North is a native of Sarasota who joined Berlin Law Firm as an Associate Attorney in 2021. Ms. North is passionate about collaborating with her colleagues as part of a team and enjoys the challenge of complex work injury cases. As a workers’ compensation attorney, she takes pride in knowing that her hard work and dedication help to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Her greatest strengths are her compassion, work ethic, and dedication to helping those who are injured.
Bailey North received her Juris Doctor Degree from Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University College of Law. During law school, Ms. North worked as a law clerk for a prominent Orlando Workers’ Compensation firm, strengthening her interest in this field.
She also holds an undergraduate degree in Criminology from Florida State University. In addition, she received a Bright Futures Scholarship, participated in the Florida State University Youth Programs, and was the Team Leader for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Ms. North’s passion for advocacy began early in her career–her interests lie at the nexus between the medical field and the legal system. Recently, she worked on a research project for a forthcoming medical sociology casebook. She edited, proofread, and conducted research on developing informed consent laws and their impact on vulnerable populations.
In her spare time, she is most content in the Sunshine State’s great outdoors. She enjoys boating, fishing, and exploring new places. She also loves spending time with family, reading, and spoiling her two feline companions.

Amanda Annunciata is a New England native. She moved to Florida while in high school and lived in Sarasota until college. Mandy obtained her Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies at Keiser University and then attended Stetson University College of Law. While attending law school at night, Mandy worked full-time as a paralegal for the Florida Department of Children and Families.
While in law school, Ms. Annunciata became Editor of the Stetson Law Review and was elected Vice President of the Student Bar Association. She graduated law school cm laude and immediately began litigating dependency cases for the Department of Children and Families.
Subsequently, Ms. Annunciata became an Assistant State Attorney in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, where she litigated criminal cases ranging from misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony offenses. She also gained significant experience litigating child support matters for the Florida Department of Revenue.

Thomas Scully, Esq. has devoted the past 25 years of his professional career to helping injured workers collect the full benefits they deserve. Admitted to the Florida bar in 1997, he is a renowned specialist in work injury claims.
Mr. Scully is recognized as one of Florida’s most talented and respected workers’ compensation attorneys and provides invaluable guidance to clients while navigating the complex workers’ compensation system.
After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Florida State University in 2017, she was admitted to Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor and graduated in the top 10% of her class with Honors.
While at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, Carol worked as a paralegal for Berlin Law Firm, which helped her gain insight and prepared her to zealously represent injured workers as an attorney. Carol was the associate editor of Thomas M. Cooley Law Review, a Dean’s Fellow, Secretary of the Student Board Association, and President of the Hispanic Organization of Legal Advocates.
A firm believer in giving back to her community, Carol volunteers with Bay Area Legal by assisting pro se litigants in filling out family forms and translating for Spanish-speaking needing legal assistance. When she is not volunteering at Bay Area Legal, you can find her at the Humane Society in Tampa Bay, helping translate for the veterinary department, walking dogs, and helping animals find their forever family.
In her spare time, she enjoys spinning, reading, figuring out why her plants won’t grow, and watching reruns of Shark Tank.

Hey there! I wanted to share some exciting news with you. Last week was a pretty special week for us - we celebrated two big events! First off, May 4th was Maggie's birthday, so if you get a chance, please wish her a happy birthday! Secondly, Marissa graduated from the University of South Florida with her bachelor's degree in criminology. She worked incredibly hard to achieve this milestone, so if you could congratulate her on her accomplishment, that would be amazing!

She is a first-generation American, Chicago native, and Florida transplant, Attorney Margaret Hassan is passionate about working hard and advocating for others. Margaret is proud of her heritage with Brazilian and Palestinian roots, which enthusiastically embraces her as a fluent speaker of both Arabic and Spanish. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University, she went on to obtain a Master’s in Business from the University of Arizona.
