For four years now, Community Day has brought St. Louis residents together in one place. From all over town, neighbors, families, nonprofits, small businesses, faith leaders, and volunteers all show up because we are collectively working towards and want the same thing: a stronger community.

This event is all about meeting people where they are, sitting down face to face with those in our city, and making sure they know about the free resources and support available to them. So much great work happens across St. Louis, and Community Day is just one of many events where it all comes together in one space.

Ever watched a kid light up the first time their fingers find a melody? 🎹

We are so glad to welcome Pianos for People back at Community Day this year! Their mission is a beautiful one and aims to inspire successful futures by giving families and individuals free access to the transformational power of the piano.

For folks facing financial barriers, Pianos for People opens doors to empowerment, community, and self-esteem, all in an environment built on support, inclusiveness, and equality. Here’s how they make it happen:

🎵 Free pianos, placed right in the homes and hands of those who need them
🎵 Free lessons and classes for students of all ages
🎵 Free special events and beginner piano camps (including their summer camps that turn first-timers into lifelong players!)
🎵 Free specialty workshops for students ready to dig deeper

And here’s the best part...their students will be performing live at Community Day! Come hear what free music education makes possible, and stop by their table to meet the team and learn how you or someone you love can get involved. ♥️

They’re BACK. 🎉 By popular demand, the Carr Lane VPA Middle School Spirit Squad is returning to Community Day at The Hub for a second year in a row!

If you were with us last year, you already know how they lit up the stage (check the photos and see for yourself 👀).

What sticks with us most, though, is something their coach Greg Tellis shared: the free food and games offered are nice, but that’s not what brings these kids out. They come because they want to be part of something bigger, part of their community. That’s exactly what this day is about.

Come out and cheer them on with us on Saturday, September 26 from 10 AM to 1 PM at The Hub, 3000 Prairie Avenue. Bring the whole family. You do not want to miss this one.

What if your child could get quality dental care this Saturday, completely free of charge?

Give Kids A Smile St. Louis began in our own city back in 2000, when a handful of community-minded dental professionals came together to make sure no child goes without care simply because a family can’t afford it.

Twice a year, GKAS holds comprehensive clinics at the Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University, where children receive full dental care, home hygiene supplies, educational materials, lunch, and plenty of fun—all free of charge in a warm, kid-friendly setting.

This Saturday at Community Day, the team will be inside The Hub offering:

😁 A warm, kid-friendly space designed just for little ones
💙 A caring team dedicated to healthy, confident smiles

We’re thrilled to welcome Urban Golf Of Greater St. Louis to Community Day! Be sure to stop by their area to practice your golf swing and meet their amazing founder, Jerome Harris.

This organization is using the game of golf to open doors for the youth of our community in a really special way. Urban Golf STL is preparing them for life after school, connecting them with the larger golf community, and creating an empowering space for aspiring leaders to shine.

Jerome and his team have deep roots within this community and they always show up with so much heart. We are so grateful to have them with us again this year. ⛳️💚
