When I hand you a business card, I’m not just passing over piece of paper. I’m handing you a promise that support is just a call away. It’s my guarantee that when you need me the most, I’m there.

I have built my business around showing up prepared to handle whatever our appointment may bring. This work is personal to me. So whether it’s an extra pen or a shoulder to cry on, I approach each signing with the care and compassion you and your paperwork deserve.

In this line of work, the details aren’t small. Neither is the responsibility that comes with them.

If you’re looking for reliability you don’t have to second-guess, I’m ready when you are.

One of the most common misconceptions about notarizations? That any form of ID will be accepted. 🥴

More often than you’d think, I’ve had to reschedule appointments because a signer said on the phone they had valid ID, but at the time of signing, they couldn’t physically produce it, presented an expired ID, or brought something that simply doesn’t meet state requirements.

While it may feel like a small detail, proper identification is the foundation of every notarization. Our primary focus is to verify identity, so not taking this step seriously is risky.

Before scheduling your appointment, your first step should always be confirming that you have a valid, acceptable form of ID ready to go. It’s a simple check that can save time, avoid delays, and ensure your signing goes smoothly.

In this line of work, we don’t ever assume… we verify.

Someone cue: “I’m going through changes” 🎶

If you thought the 2016 North Carolina Notary Manual was thorough, wait until you give her younger sister a read 🫢

The 2026 NC Notary Manual is finally here! This long awaited handbook is filled with valuable updates and notary non-negotiables, and for the first time ever, traditional and electronic notaries have all their resources in one place 😍

From zero-tolerance dealbreakers to the genesis of electronic notarizations in our state, the 2026 manual covers it all. It’s giving: less wiggle room, more responsibility ✨

If you’re a North Carolina notary, you’re required to have this manual. You’re expected to thoroughly review it, and it’s imperative you follow its practices to perform your public service.

Staying compliant isn’t just about following the rules… it’s about protecting your name, your commission, and the clients you serve. Reading and highlighting this manual like you’re studying for finals ensures you are providing the best services to your community.

The 2016 version taught us what we know about notarizing.
The 2026 version makes sure we don’t mess it up.

If you’re a North Carolina notary, have you started reading the new manual yet? Or are you still emotionally attached to the 2016 version? 🥹

I’m doing something a little scandalous for a solo business owner… taking a vacation! ☀️🌴

I know. It’s crazy, right!? My niece is graduating high school, so I’m taking a trip back home to watch her walk across the stage and secure that diploma. I will be squeezing in some time for the sun and sand too 🏖️

Although I’ll be away, I won’t be totally unplugged. If you’d like to schedule an appointment or have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m still happy to chat, I’ll just have a virgin piña colada in my hand 🍹

POV: It’s the night before closing. The documents just came through, you’re tabbing each signature line, and BAM - 2 witnesses required and the lender conveniently left that part out 😅

You call the lender, and they hit you with “well just bring 1 witness and you can be the second?”

Hard pass 😬

In some states, a notary can also serve as a witness. In North Carolina, our laws prohibit notaries from acting as a witness for a document they are also notarizing.

We’re not being difficult, we’re following the law, and we’re protecting your paperwork. 🤍

This is a perfect example of why working with a knowledgeable, up-to-date notary matters. Laws vary by state, and they do change. The last thing you want is a signing done incorrectly because someone followed outdated or the wrong state’s rules.

Don’t gamble with your clients documents. Hire a notary who knows the rules and when to press pause.

🌟 Book Review 🌟

And this one gets 5-stars from me 😍

This isn’t your average book review, but in all honesty, it’s one of the most important ones for notaries: The Notary Journal.

While some states don’t require notaries to keep a journal, seasoned professionals know it’s one of the smartest business decisions you can make.

Every notarization tells a story…
👩🏽‍🤝‍👨🏼 Who signed
📆 When it happened
📄 What was notarized
🪪 How identity was verified
…. and sometimes more!

This isn’t just a notebook… it’s a structured record of your official notarial acts designed to protect both you and your clients.

It’s your liability shield. Your paper trail with a memory. Your receipt for every signing. Your “I can prove it” log if anything is ever questioned.

It’s a notary’s lifeline when memory fades, but documentation doesn’t.

If you’re building a notary business with intention, this is one habit that separates casual from credible. The strongest notaries don’t just complete notarizations - they document them.

Should I review the new 2026 NC Notary Manual next? 🤓👇🏼 Let me know in the comments!

Not all notaries are created equal… and the truth is, paralegals make some of the best notaries. 🤭

Make no mistake, training and experience are the foundation for building a great notary, but paralegals step into this role with knowledge you just can’t fake.

We’re trained to catch what others might miss.
We’re cool, calm, and collected in the midst of chaos.
We know legal documents and how they flow.
We fix minor issues before they turn into bigger problems.

A paralegal’s background brings a level of accuracy, awareness, and assurance that exceeds far beyond the stamp. We don’t just notarize, we elevate the entire signing experience. ✨

When you book with me, you’re not just getting a notary.

You’re getting:

• A detail expert who doesn’t miss
• A process professional who keeps things moving
• A calm, confident presence when it matters most

If you want a notary who treats every signing like it’s under legal review - precise, polished, and zero room for error - I’m the one you call. 📲
