Meet Royal 👋🏿

His story is part of our campaign, a project to end the stigma and raise awareness of just how common it is to have a criminal record.

1 in 3 Americans has a criminal record, which is a lot more common than people think. No one expects to be involved in the justice system, but it can happen to anyone. People of all ages, backgrounds, genders, and income levels are involved in the justice system. Their pathways vary, but the barriers of a record affect them all. Our hope is that by sharing their portraits and telling their stories, we can change the way people think about people with records and appreciate them for all they have overcome.

Help us give a warm welcome to our newest team members, Melissa and Christian! ✨

Melissa brings more than 20 years of experience building, leading, establishing strong operational infrastructure within finance teams. She feels grateful to have the opportunity to use her skills to support a mission focused on helping people overcome barriers and realize their full potential. She's a big fan of the outdoors, reading accompanied by tea, and attempting to meditate amidst the chaos of six children (four humans and two dogs).

Christian studied Philosophy and has taken on an array of jobs that compliment. To him, Rasa holds a dynamic approach to a big and difficult to solve problem, and his passions make him the perfect addition to our growing team! If you need a movie recommendation, he's the guy to ask.

We're so glad to have them both on board! 🚀
