In 2024, Oregon launched a major push to tackle its housing shortage. 🏡🏗️

Gov. Tina Kotek originally proposed roughly $500 million to accelerate housing construction, expand infrastructure and make more land available for development.

After negotiations, lawmakers approved a broader $376 million housing and homelessness package, including investments aimed at helping communities prepare land for new homes.

China’s experimental maglev vehicle reportedly reached 800 km/h (497 mph) in just 5.3 seconds during a high-speed test. 🚄⚡

The 1.1-ton experimental vehicle uses magnetic levitation and electromagnetic propulsion, allowing it to travel without conventional wheel-to-rail contact.
