Illinois median home prices and home sales moved higher in September while available inventory was lower than the year before.

🔹 Statewide closed sales increased 4.6% (median price rising 3.8%)
🔹 Chicago Metro: Median home price up 2.9% to $360,000
🔹 City of Chicago: Prices up 3.6% to $360,000
🔹 AVG 30-year fixed mortgage rate: 6.35% (down from 6.59% the month before)
