This is Angel Gott (Angela Gott) Marion Platter McGreevy's daughter who lives in CA, got my law degree but never practiced and moved to CA in 1986. I am 70 now. Marion recently died. I just wanted to let you know. She was 92. I lost touch with Terry (your mother) after Jack Platter died. I knew Terry was in Bali with your brother for years. Linda Payne (my 1st cousin) 6 months older than me, who lived in Jeffersontown, KY, was FB friends with your mother-- just died too (lung cancer). My mom kept me appraised of your law practice, your sons, etc. from when she would go down to FL to visit her brother & Terry and Marion truly loved those vacations to visit. I believe she was last down in FL when Terry had Jack's ashes distributed out on the water. That was likely the last time she saw that whole Platter branch of the Platter family. I am retired now in Marin County (N of San Francisco) where I have spent most of my adult life. I last saw my Mom (Marion) in 2019. She outlived everyone, her husband, children, grandchild Jessica, her siblings, her nieces (has 1 left, Margaret McMillan) so there is no funeral or memorial. Dick died June 2011 and is buried where he grew up and her ashes will be going there. The remaining grandchild, a grandson, was never "there" for her in her old age at all once her son, his father died in 2009 (grandson was 15 then)--but a childhood friend of her son, Mike--the childhood friend took over her care these last 7 years--as I am sure Mike would have done had he lived. He plans to move to FL and is 62 now. He had to take SSA "early" and gets less than $800 a month. But he will have the sale of Marion's home (he deserves every cent) and so if you need a landscaper, gardener or have any friends who do, he could likely use help getting a little business set up. He plans to restore Marion's home this spring and summer and when it gets cold next Fall head down to FL. My email is angelagott in Yahoo and would love to hear from you. His name is Bucky. Best wishes. He was adopted and has no family at all. Marion & Dick always showed him great kindness. He was really there for her and made her last years really as good as they could be to the very end. Bye now--Angela Marie Gott (Angel) is my FB name.
