Happy 4th of July weekend! During these pressing times Band, Gates and Dramis continue to keep the safety and well being of staff and clients our main priority. Band Gates & Dramis is committed to serving our clients to the best of our abilities. We have implemented a few additional procedures to ensure the safety of our office, staff, and our clients. We appreciate your assistance in ensuring we do our part to “flatten the curve” of COVID-19.

We are currently seeing clients on a “by appointment only” basis to prevent unnecessary traffic in the office. While this may be inconvenient for some, our at-risk staff members & clients greatly appreciate your cooperation. Should you need to make an appointment, please call our office at 941-366-8010.

The following additional procedures have been implemented specifically related to real estate closings:
1. We would like to request that any deposits be made via wire transfer. Please call our office (941-366-8010) and request a copy of our transaction-specific wire instructions. In an effort to reduce the risk of wire fraud, we will ask that you verbally verify the routing and account numbers with our office prior to initiating your wire transfer.
2. For any previously scheduled closings, we will only allow the parties that will physically be signing to enter our office for closing. If you wish to review the closing documents ahead of time with a specific party, please let us know and we will be happy to provide the documents in advance for review.
3. We are currently offering RON (remote online notarization) to allow for remote closings; however, there are a few drawbacks, the main one being that not all Lenders are allowing this procedure at this time. If you are a Cash Buyer, you can sign electronically or remotely without issue, if you are a Seller, you can sign with your own notary then overnight your document back to our offices, come to our office for a quick signing, or sign via RON. If you are a Buyer obtaining a loan, please let us know & we will work with your Lender to determine whether RON will be accepted for your transaction, and what other options might be available to you.

It has been confirmed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that title and settlement services such as ours are considered “essential businesses,” as such, we will continue doing business as usual in the office – many of our staff members are set up to work remotely if need be, and we are confident you will not notice any interruption in the services we provide.
