Next, the Commission talked about ma*****na. They voted unanimously to approve a new Cannabis Civil Citation Ordinance. This decriminalizes ma*****na in the City of Sarasota, turning it instead to a civil matter.

Sarasota City Commissioners voted 5-0 Monday night for the Cannabis Civil Citation during its first reading. The proposed ordinance would make it a civil offense if someone is caught with 20 grams or less of ma*****na and/or drug paraphernalia.
