Gibson Kohl is pleased to announce that real estate attorney Natalie Coldiron has joined our real estate department. Natalie has been practicing real estate law in Sarasota for 11 years and is the daughter of Steve Greenberg who retired from Icard Merrill last year. Steve was a mentor to Lauren Kohl early in her career and Lauren hopes to be the same for Natalie, although Natalie doesn’t need much assistance as she was a top producer at both Icard Merrill and Williams Parker before joining Gibson Kohl. Our entire staff is sending a warm welcome to Natalie and the experienced support staff she has brought with her. It is going to be a great year!

FantaSea Venice is a public arts project in which the Venice Art Center partnered with FantaSea Venice Sponsors and FantaSea Artists to create unique designs for 22 fiberglass mermaids and 30 fiberglass seahorses. These one-of-a-kind sculptures will be adorned by the most talented artists in our region. The Venice Art Center matched sponsors to artists and a plaque will be placed at the base of each sculpture to indicate the name of the sponsor, artist, and the sculpture’s individual name.

The Venice Art Center will utilize this successful experience coupled with new and innovative ideas to make FantaSea Venice an even greater success. It was a an honor for GKW to participate in the mission and closing of Save Our Y, Inc., the not for profit corporation that has been operating the two former YMCA wellness branches since this summer. As of today Save Our Y’s name is officially changed to “Our Y”.

This would not have been achieved without the efforts of Our Y’s members, employees, donors, and other community members. A special shout out is appropriate to The Band Law Group who connected us with ServisFirst Bank. ServisFirst Bank was able to look beyond standard commercial credit requirements and provide financing that truly saved a community necessity.
