Habitability claims filed by a tenant or group of tenants based on substandard living conditions present possibly the greatest liability risk faced by residential landlords. In an article for the Daily Journal, Partner Stephen Raucher discusses the possible, significant implications for landlords named as defendants in virtually any type of action where just one of the claims arises out of habitability issues, even if the other claims would otherwise be covered.
