I had a notary assignment today in my home. I never do signings at home but with the flooding we're having here and it was my friend's husband, I made this one exception. It turned out great!

I had a notary assignment in Arroyo Grande earlier this afternoon. I should have rescheduled because of the weather! It was an interesting assignment, the elderly couple wanted their advanced directives and other documents notarized by the end of the year because of their declining health. The wife had arthritis so bad that she signed her name with a mark "X" . This doesn't happen very often. I got my errands done and I'm home with my Pickett girl 💟

I had a late appointment for general notary work at a senior care facility on the coast - the elderly lady broke her hip! So the family had trust docs and a will - four signers for a total of 18 signatures. I also offer document processing services, so I will be recording a few of their documents tomorrow at the County Clerk Recorder's Office for an additional fee. It was a very profitable appointment!!
P. S. Always carry a clipboard - my client had to sign from a hospital bed & the clipboard made it easier for her 👍🏻
