Last Wednesday, I appeared in Rancho Cucamonga court with a client who was charged with felony possession of concentrated ma*****na for sale after the police officers raided his house on a search warrant. At the preliminary hearing, the judge agreed there was insufficient evidence to hold my client to answer. The DA threatened to re-file the case; however, I am yet to see another complaint and if/when I do, I'm confident we will beat it again.

Today I appeared in OC on a traffic ticket for a returning client. After discussing the case with the police officer, he agreed to dismiss the case outright. Another victory!

Last week, I appeared ready for a jury trial. The OC District Attorney's Office charged my client with assault with a deadly weapon (to wit a knife) causing great bodily injury. My clients previous attorney was unable to resolve the case. After some successful in limine motions, the District Attorney's office was forced to dismiss on the day of trial. My client would have received a felony strike and up to 7 years in state prison. He was, of course, very happy to have his case dismissed.
