Please don't drink and drive. Impaired drivers destroy lives. Some victims aren't lucky enough to walk away with a permanent injury like me. Many unnecessary fatalities.

Threat to public safety and victims if we lose bail. Unnecessary burden on taxpayers. Commit a crime? No problem. You'll be in and out of jail with a promise to return to court. Or an ankle bracelet. We know how well PreTrial Release programs have worked in the past. They're called ACTIVE WARRANTS for failure to appear. No one cares until they reoffend causing another victim of crime. Equal Justice Under Law thinks domestic violence is a nonviolent crime. Doesn't see a problem with releasing defendants with a "stay away order" or restraining order.
