To put that in perspective, they added 30% of the total installed US PV capacity in ONE MONTH. The USA is losing this race for energy independence. Especially now that the tax credit is being canceled.

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) killed my business. Residential solar installs in the second half of 2023 went down by 77%! in the second half of 2023 after the Net Metering 3.0 version took effect on April 13th. On January 1 the CA government will prescribe prevailing wages for all non residential and multi residential solar as per AB2143 signed into law by the same governor who prescribed lofty renewable energy goals. So, the members of the CPUC, all appointed by the Governor decided that communism is the way to prevent small and midsize businesses from participating in reaching the lofty renewable energy goals.

Solar industry officials say recent PUC decisions are crippling the industry and could keep the state from achieving its clean energy goals.

The oh so "green" California legislature killed Solar because the Utility Companies own every State legislator. Solar installs in California are down 77%, 17000 industry jobs in CA were lost in the last 4 months. Vote all of the legislators out that get donations from SDG&E, Pacific Gas & Electric and Southern California Edison or the Electrician's union (synonymous). Find me a Democrat CA legislator who does not get donations from any of these for profit monopolistic service providers!
