If you are monetizing your content and signing brand agreements, you should understand what you are agreeing to before you sign.

Too many creators accept contracts drafted entirely to protect the brand, not the creator. Ownership language, usage scope, exclusivity terms, and indemnification provisions. These are not minor details. They define your leverage and your long-term control.

At Think Legal, we focus on preventing expensive mistakes before they happen.

That is why we created the Creator Contract Template Kit. It includes five educational templates structured to reflect creator-protective terms across sponsorships, content creation, licensing, influencer agreements, and work-for-hire arrangements.

These are templates for educational and informational purposes only. They are not legal advice, and they do not create an attorney-client relationship. Customization and legal review are always recommended.

If you are negotiating brand deals or preparing to, this kit gives you a structured starting point instead of guessing.

Early access is $247, then increases to $497.

👋 Hey there, Think Legal community—it’s been a while.

If you’ve followed this page for any time, you probably know I’m passionate about helping business owners stay protected and profitable by understanding the law before it costs them big.

I’ve been working on something behind the scenes that I’m excited to share.

🎉 I just launched a new course called “The Legal Edge Academy”

It’s built for entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and small business owners who are trying to build something great but don’t have the legal background to know what’s risky, what’s missing, or what’s flat-out wrong.

Here’s what we cover:
✅ How to choose and protect the proper business structure (LLC, Corp, etc.)
✅ What to include in every contract—before you sign it
✅ Employee vs. contractor mistakes that cost thousands
✅ How to avoid getting sued by customers, clients, or team members
✅ When to hire a lawyer—and when you don’t need one

This isn’t a bunch of legal jargon. It’s practical, accessible, and designed to help you run a safer, more innovative business.

🟡 Special Offer: Thank you for sticking around. I’m offering 50% off to the first 10 people who enroll using the code FRIENDS50 at checkout.

You signed the contract. Now you’re stuck.

Here is a friendly reminder that if you haven't changed your password recently and your password is any version “12345,” now is the time.

I have had one client and opposing counsel send me phishing emails in the last couple of weeks because they had been hacked.

The hacker not only sent the phishing e-mail but also took the attorney’s logo and put fake phone numbers on it, so when you try to contact them, you can't. I had to go to Google and find their firm number to call them and let them know they had been hacked.

If you are worried about remembering your new complex passwords, here are a few tips to help:

1) Use a unique password for each account regardless of significance. *Never* use the same password twice. Don't just add a letter or number at the end to make it “different.”
2) Use a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.
3) The longer, the better.
4) Use a password keeper with the highest level of encryption possible (e.g., 128-bit encryption or 256-bit encryption).
5) Do not share accounts with others (even family members). The person or family member is likely trustworthy, but you don't know the people they come in contact with, and *those* people might not have the best of intentions.
6) Use 2FA or MFA, which requires your password and another method of verification like a one-time password (OTP) through an authenticator app on your phone or SMS
7) Use a Yubikey or Smartcard with RFID technology. A physical device that is required to log in.

If you have questions, I'm happy to discuss them. Remember, a little bit of inconvenience now can significantly impact your future. Identity theft is very costly for you and profitable to the hackers.
