Joe Miller:
Founder and lead instructor, Joe Miller, is a full-time commissioned police officer with nearly 20 years experience in the field. Based on his experience and training, Joe has spent years developing a defensive tactics curriculum that addresses the mental, physical, emotional, and bureaucratic survival needs of those who’s livelihood requires them to willingly place themselves in harms way. Training and experience include:

• Officer survival Instructor, Regional Police Academy
• Police Defensive Tactics Instructor
• Civil Investigator, assigned to City Attorney's Office
(Assisting in tort defense for use of force claims brought against the city)
• Hostage Negotiation Team Trainer/Leader
• Adjunct Faculty, Chemeketa Community College
(Teaching Survival Mindset and Personal Defense courses
