I moved to Marina about 3 1/2 years ago because my daughter lived here. Then she moved away. I was pretty lonely and thinking about living in a retirement home but those are exorbitantly expensive and I would have no money. For example, if my puppy got sick, I prayed about it a lot and now it seems all of a sudden, I have seven new friends. My mobility is limited, so they come over here for lunch or dinner. I have an assistant who helps me, but she’s so much cheaper than the assisted-living. God answers prayers

I made an incredibly stupid decision three years ago and bought a used car, manual transmission, that depreciated from the 14,000 I paid for it to $3000 that it’s worth today. That’s called negative equity. But I was able to pay the $14,000 down quite a bit over the last few months and worked a trade with the car dealer where I got a Honda, Acura SUV, single owner, hundred thousand miles, luxurious and big enough to put my walker in the back without even collapsing it. The whole thing getting the monkey off my back getting a car I can drive was so worth it praise the Lord.

God is so good. Yesterday I went to Kohl’s to get some links taken out of my watch. Inm ran into a brick wall. I went to the jewelry counter and the clerk told me, after a long wait, that the master jeweler wasn’t there so they couldn’t do it. I said oh it’s easy as long as you have the right tool you just do it like this. She said we can’t because you didn’t buy it here. I said you’re kidding. She said no. I said let me see your manager. she got her manager and of course forewarned her about the problem lady. The manager walked, over another young girl, and she told me they couldn’t do it because they didn’t have a way to charge me for it. I said I’ll buy something. And she said no that’s our policy and then she said that’s our policy three more times. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. But my go to response was to write a complaint letter to the management. I had the lawyer the argument of course. When I got in my car 🚗 I realized there was nothing Christian about that. It wouldn’t bring me peace or any of the other fruits of the spirit so I immediately abandoned the idea and went about my peaceful day.
