I realize that we haven’t posted in a while. 2020 and 2021 has been very difficult for us and many of you. We have had deaths, hospitalizations, illness and many struggles. I am prayerful that 2022 brings with it health and peace for everyone. I am thankful for the patience and kindness of our clients during these difficult times.

Punishment for violation of “stay at home” orders: Several of you have asked about the enforcement/punishment for a violation of the Governor’s recent order. Enforcement of this order is tasked to our local law enforcement officers, as well as our District Attorney’s office. In regards to punishment, pursuant to NC law, a violation of the order is punishable as a Class 2 misdemeanor, which carries a maximum penalty of 60 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
