William Pruitt sentenced to Life in Prison for the murder of Dequan Fields.

This was one of the most unique and fascinating cases I have done. I am thankful for the extraordinary efforts Maryland State Police gave to this case over the course of 18 months. I am thankful we were able to give closure to Dequan Fields' family.

The Somerset County State’s Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for two Assistant State’s Attorney positions. Applicant must be a graduate from an accredited law school, admitted to the Maryland Bar as of the date of application and be in good standing.
These are full-time positions in the Somerset County State's Attorney’s Office that entail the investigation, preparation, and prosecution of criminal cases in Somerset County. The Assistant State's Attorney will be under the supervision of the State's Attorney and primarily will be responsible for handling criminal matters in the District and Circuit Courts.
