Internet access is a necessity — but too many people are still stuck on the wrong side of the digital divide. And as a new Free Press report shows, that divide disproportionately impacts people of color.

Art of the deal. "We're going to try to pull back on this," said US AG Sessions to state attorneys general. It's as yet unclear whether the City of Portland can get the Feds to back out of their plea deal, to eliminate illegal use of force by police: the Trump administration is probably waiting to hear what the Wheeler administration will fork over, to be rewarded with lapsed law enforcement.
