Founded in 1988, MAP is a coalition of service providers, faith groups, and other organizations working together to advocate for statewide public policies and programs that help Marylanders living in or near poverty. Maryland Alliance for the Poor is an advocacy coalition comprised of the following member organizations:

Thanks to the General Assembly for supporting this key MAP priority! This an important policy tool for Marylanders experiencing poverty.

Great news: the Maryland General Assembly has made the important decision to ! Now, more than 40,000 low-income Marylanders (most under age of 25) can access the most effective anti-poverty program we have. Thank you to our bill sponsors Sen. Rich Madaleno and Del. Sheila Hixson, The CASH Campaign of Maryland and all of our other incredible partners who have worked on this issue over the last three years!
